Bitcoin Cash (BCH) on AltQuick

Bitcoin Cash is a fork of Bitcoin that occurred on August 1, 2017.

All Bitcoin holders who held Bitcoin on the fork day also received the same amount of Bitcoin Cash in their alternative wallet. Bitcoin Cash has the same maximum supply as Bitcoin (21 million) and the same SHA-256 proof of work, but much larger blocks so more payments fit in each one. The argument for Bitcoin Cash is faster, cheaper transactions; the argument against it is that larger blocks make it harder to run a node, which could lead to more centralization. We list BCH as a Bitcoin-family currency, not as a verdict on that debate.
