Bitcoin Testnet4 (TBTC4) on AltQuick

Bitcoin Testnet4 is the BIP 94 public proof-of-work testnet that replaced Testnet3.

Testnet4 launched in 2024 with a fresh genesis. Bitcoin Core 28 added -testnet4. It keeps public SHA-256 mining and the 20-minute min-difficulty exception, but the first block of each difficulty period must use real difficulty so CPU miners cannot storm thousands of blocks. All mainnet soft forks as of May 2024 apply from genesis. Same reason we list testnet at all: faucets are stingy, and we needed whole coins. TBTC4 is the chain you should use if you want public PoW testnet today.
