Florincoin (FLO) was the first cryptocurrency with a clear-text comment on every transaction.

Those comments became floData: on the order of a kilobyte of public archive space per send, with ~40-second Scrypt blocks. The chain later branded as FLO, an archival layer for metadata (hashes, records, indexes) that other apps can pin forever. Clamcoin reused the comment-field idea.
