Gapcoin (GAP) on AltQuick

Gapcoin is a cryptocurrency whose mining searches for large prime gaps by merit.

Launched in October 2014 with no premine, Gapcoin's proof of work looks for prime gaps whose merit (gap size over ln(p)) is high enough for the current difficulty — useful math, not empty hashes. The network has posted first-occurrence records on the Prime Gap List, including a gap of merit about 41.94. We believe in supporting that kind of work, which is why GAP still has a Bitcoin book here.
